Kerry Wing is an emerging soulful singer/songwriter, and artist from the city of San Francisco. He has spent his life thus far exploring the world singing, songwriting and truth seeking. Kerry Wing's music uniquely reflects his vision, passion, and experiences. His songs are an original collage of soul, folk, reggae, hip hop and rock with "lyrics [that] are aimed to make a change in the world", says Chuck Foster of The Beat Magazine (Los Angeles).
Kerry has performed and written music since the age of 6 and has since played throughout the USA , Hawaii , Europe , Central and South America , India and North Africa , at music festivals, gatherings, major nightclubs, cafes, churches, ashrams, parties, wakes, weddings, universities, and on the streets. He has played at venues including: Yoshi's, Slim's, The Catalyst, Ceasars Tahoe, Little Fox, Pier 23, Fraight And Salvage, Ashkenaz, Reggae In The Park, Whole Earth Festival, Monterey Bay Reggae Fest, and Mt Shasta World Music Festival.
In 2003, with Pacific Vibrations, he released the CD Eastern Sun, which was played all over the world by radio DJs and clubs. The record came in at #2 at KPRG in Guam. DJ BAHILMAN of Creation Steppin' Online Radio had the CD #7 on his top picks of 2003. He went on to say of the band's single ROOTS LIVING, "I don't often get a new tune that has me hitting the replay button over and over like this".
As an up and coming artist and his own agent Kerry Wing has had the pleasure of opening for great artists such as Sizzla, the late Lucky Dube , Steel Pulse , The Coasters , The Expendables , Burning Spear , Long Beach Short Bus (former members of Sublime ), Beenie Man , Barrington Levy , and Eek A Mouse. He also had the pleasure of performing with, and becoming friends with, the late Mikey Dread, reggae artist and producer of Rockers Galore by The Clash .
